Last week Mechelle Aitson-Roessler, AVP of Enrollment Management and Registrar at Rose State College (RSC), presented her institution's journey to addressing their admissions challenges.
It was her belief that the key to improving RSC's admissions results was to improve the user experience of their admissions application system. This drove them to select our candidate application solution. At the beginning of February, RSC flipped the switch on their new online application.
8 weeks in: A dramatic improvement
Here are a few statistics from the presentation that highlight the impact of improving the candidate's user experience on admissions.
Since early February, Rose State College has seen a 33% increase in the number of applications competed and submitted compared to the same time period last year.
Prior to go-live, the average estimated time to complete and submit an application by students was in excess of 45 minutes. With the new system, the average time is under 12 minutes.
RSC's prior system did not work on mobile devices. With the ability to enter and submit any application without a computer, RSC recruiting sessions now include time for prospective students to complete and submit an application through their phones.
